Encounter Resources’ copper project on the edge of the Great Sandy Desert in Western Australia has caught the attention of global copper miner Antofagasta PLC. Located near three multi-billion dollar deposits, ENR’s Yeneena project has identified multiple targets with prospective host rocks and promising geophysical signatures.

An earn-in agreement with Antofagasta (51% interest for US$20m over five years) will determine if there is another company-making deposit buried beneath the sand dunes. In this market, ENR is a rare Australian explorer that is fully funded, with lots of prospects and the diamond drill rig on site now.
